Nursing Prep Pro Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Nursing Prep Pro mobile application (the “App”), an educational Android app for nursing study and exam preparation, developed by Vikash Kumar Verma (“we”, “our” or “us”).

It explains what information the App handles, why, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

The App has no sign-in, and your study progress and bookmarks stay on your device. The App shows ads and uses Google services that collect some device and usage information, as described below.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask you to enter personal details. The Google services built into the App automatically collect the following:

Device information: device model, operating system version, language and app version.
Identifiers: the Android advertising ID, and installation identifiers that Firebase creates for this copy of the App.
Usage information: which screens and features are used, and for how long.
Crash information: technical details about a crash, such as the error and the state of the App and device at the time.
Network information: your IP address, from which Google may estimate a general location such as country or city.
Ad information: which ads are shown and whether they are tapped.
Notification token: a token that lets notifications be delivered to your device.
Purchase information: if you buy something in the App, confirmation of the purchase from Google Play, such as the product bought and a purchase token.

3. Information we do not collect

The App has no sign-in and does not ask you to create an account.
We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
We do not receive your payment card or bank details. Payments are handled by Google Play.
Your study progress and bookmarks are not sent to us. They stay on your device.

4. How information is used

To deliver study content and keep it up to date
To show advertisements
To understand which features are used, so the App can be improved
To find and fix crashes and errors
To send notifications
To provide and restore in-app purchases and subscriptions

5. Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use the Android advertising ID, your IP address and information about how you interact with ads. It uses these to show ads, including personalised ads where permitted, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to detect invalid or fraudulent activity.

You can turn off personalised ads, or reset or delete your advertising ID, in the Ads section of your Android device’s settings.

6. Analytics and crash reporting

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used. It collects device information, usage information and identifiers, as listed in section 2.

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports. A crash report contains crash information, device information and an installation identifier, so that errors can be found and fixed.

7. Firebase services

The App uses these Firebase services, which are provided by Google:

Google Analytics for Firebase: usage statistics.
Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports.
Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivers notifications to your device.
Cloud Firestore: delivers study content, such as notes and questions, to the App.

The App does not use Firebase Authentication.

8. Data storage

Your study progress and bookmarks are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to Firebase.

The information collected by Google’s services, described in section 2, is stored on Google’s servers.

Information is shared only with the service providers listed in section 10, through the services built into the App, and for the purposes listed in section 4. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.

10. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services, all provided by Google:

Google AdMob, for advertising
Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging and Cloud Firestore)
Google Play Billing, for in-app purchases and subscriptions

11. Children’s privacy

Nursing Prep Pro is an educational app intended for nursing students. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

12. Data security

Information sent between the App and Google’s services is encrypted in transit. No method of sending or storing information electronically is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Data retention

Your study progress and bookmarks remain on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.

Information collected by Google’s services is kept by Google for the periods set out in its own policies.

14. Your rights and choices

You can turn off personalised ads, or reset or delete your advertising ID, in the Ads section of your Android device’s settings.
You can turn off notifications for the App in your device’s settings.
You can remove your study progress and bookmarks by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play app.
You can contact us with any question or request about your information, using the details in section 16.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
