PaperSet Privacy Policy

Effective date: 10 October 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the PaperSet mobile application (the “App”), an Android app that helps teachers, schools and coaching institutes make question papers and answer keys. The App is developed by Vikash Kumar Verma (“we”, “our” or “us”).

It explains what information the App handles, where it is kept, and what choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

PaperSet has no sign-in, no ads and no analytics. The details you enter and the papers you make stay on your device. They are not sent to us.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information.

When the App checks for new question bank content, it connects to Google’s Cloud Firestore service and downloads that content. As with any internet connection, Google receives technical information such as your IP address. The App also uses Firebase App Check, which uses the Google Play Integrity API to confirm that the request comes from a genuine copy of the App on a genuine Android device. To do this, Google processes information about the App and the device.

3. Information we do not collect

  • The App has no sign-in and does not ask you to create an account.
  • We do not receive the institute profile you enter, such as institute name, teacher name, phone number, email address, address, website or logo.
  • We do not receive the papers, answer keys or PDF files you make.
  • The App does not use the advertising ID, and does not collect usage statistics or crash reports.
  • The App does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.

4. How information is used

  • Your institute profile and logo are used only on your device, to print the header and watermark on the papers you make.
  • The connection to Cloud Firestore is used only to download new question bank content.
  • Firebase App Check is used only to protect the content service from requests that do not come from the App.

5. Advertising

The App does not show ads and does not use the advertising ID.

6. Analytics and crash reporting

The App does not use any analytics or crash-reporting service.

7. Firebase services

The App uses these Firebase services, which are provided by Google:

  • Cloud Firestore: the App downloads question bank content from it. The App only reads content and never uploads your information to it.
  • Firebase App Check: confirms requests come from a genuine copy of the App, using the Google Play Integrity API.

The App does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging or Authentication.

8. Data storage

The following are stored only on your device, in the App’s private storage:

  • your institute profile, logo and paper settings
  • the papers you save, and the PDF files made from them
  • the question bank content, so the App works offline

When you choose a logo, Android’s photo picker gives the App only the image you select. The App keeps its own copy of that image.

If backup is turned on for your Android device, Android may include the App’s data in your device backup, which is kept in your Google account under Google’s policies. You can manage this in your device’s backup settings.

9. Data sharing

We do not share your information, because the App does not send it to us.

When you choose to save, open or share a PDF, you decide where it goes, such as another app, a folder or a person. From then on it is handled by that app or recipient under their own terms.

10. Third-party services

The App uses the following services, all provided by Google:

  • Cloud Firestore, for downloading question bank content
  • Firebase App Check, with the Google Play Integrity API

These services handle information under Google’s own policies:

11. Children’s privacy

PaperSet is a tool for teachers, schools and coaching institutes. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

12. Data security

Your profile, logo, saved papers and content are kept in the App’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. Only a PDF you choose to share is passed to another app, using Android’s secure file sharing. Connections to Google’s services are encrypted in transit.

No method of sending or storing information electronically is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Data retention

Information on your device stays there until you delete it. Deleting a saved paper removes it and its PDF files. Clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App removes everything the App has stored.

Technical information received by Google when the App connects to its services is kept by Google for the periods set out in its own policies.

14. Your rights and choices

  • You can change or remove your institute profile details and logo at any time in the App.
  • You can delete any saved paper, together with its PDF files.
  • You can remove all the App’s data by clearing its data or uninstalling it.
  • You can control device backups in your Android device’s backup settings.
  • You can contact us with any question about this policy, using the details in section 16.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
